Sorry I have been lacking in the blog department. :( The holidays have a funny way of sneaking up on you, sucking down all of your time and leaving you exhausted. This year was no exception. Andrew and I had a lot on our plates with family coming in town, hosting Christmas and of course being pregnant. That in itself is back-breaking work, but worth every glorious second.
We decided last year that we wanted to host Christmas at our house this year. It was our first year in the new house and our home is perfect for entertaining, so it just seemed like a great idea. This years festivities were perfect. We had a Tex-ican Fiesta Christmas with tamales, enchiladas, casseroles and all the goodies. I really enjoy non-traditional foods during the holidays. I can only eat so much turkey and ham. Although, Thanksgiving we had BBQ, so I didn't get any turkey this year, but I am okay with that.
Andrew's family came down from Tennessee to stay with us and enjoy the holidays. It was very nice to have them here. His mom, dad and sisters came down and they brought their dogs with them. Some of my family brought their dogs with them as well on Christmas - so our house was a menagerie.
We enjoyed opening presents with the family, having a long lunch and enjoying each others company. Luckily the snow we got didn't get in the way too bad. Yes, I said snow! Texas got snow on Christmas Eve. I can honestly say I think I only remember one other Christmas where we have had snow. It was a nice touch.
Updates: Jonah is doing great. I know a few weeks back I said he was a busy boy.....little did I know. He moves around all day and night. My soul just lights up when he gets going. We play music to him through my belly and talk to him and he starts kicking and punching away. It's the most beautiful thing.
Today I am officially 30 weeks which is approximately 7 months. Only about 10 more weeks left. I can't even wrap my little brain around that. In a little over 2 months we will be taking little Jonah home from the hospital and he will be all ours. I can't wait!
His room is coming together really well. I have made a promise to myself to not buy anything else. I am just going to wait until after the shower and pick up any last minute necessities. He's going to be spoiled rotten. We got so many things for him this Christmas. Some of the stuff makes me cry. (dang pregnancy hormones) Haha.
We are going in on Tuesday, January 5th for our 3D/4D sonogram. I am really excited about this. I love any excuse to see him. I will make sure to post up some pictures from that session.
As we wrap up 2009, I look back on how this year got started. Although it was a rough start we definitely ended with a bang and I am looking forward to 2010. I hope and pray that all my friends and family continue to receive blessings for the upcoming year. I am very thankful to God for all the answered prayers, preparations and blessings He has given us. I am truly in awe.
May you be blessed,
♥ Krysie

We had a wonderful time. Sorry again I forgot your present, but the snow put us in a rush, since we spent the night with Grandmom & had not planned on it. But I will get it to you. Really enjoyed the time, and your house was wonderful. But Jonah's room was the best, looks greast, only missing one thing and that will be remedied in a few short weeks!! Love you!
Christmas was wonderful. All the family (2 legged and 4 legged) was great. I always enjoy seeing Adrews family. My grandson will be coming home to a house and a family full of love. God has blessed him before he is here thats for sure. The room was great and I cant wait to see him snuggled up sleeping there. Or you in the rocker rocking him to sleep. Soon my baby soon you will hold that baby of your own.
Love Mom
