37 weeks....dilating and dropping

Last Friday I had my 37 week appointment with my doctor. Everything checked out just fine and she let me know that I was dilated to a 1. That was nice to hear. This means we are making forward, or rather downward progress. :) When I left her office she said...."See ya next week, if not sooner!" That definitely made me a little anxious and contributed to a few sleepless nights.

A couple nights ago I actually thought I was in labor. I was having contractions all night, I was feeling lots of pressure and had some serious back pain. Turns out it was just Braxton Hicks and a false alarm. I was a little sad, but it is the body's way of preparing you for birth and he has started making his downward descent. (Check out the pictures below)

The last few days have been hit or miss. I have days where I don't feel too bad, then days where I feel like I have run a marathon and I am sitting still. The key really is resting and drinking lots of water. I have been trying to go for short walks everyday to let gravity work its magic. It really could be any day now.

My days are now filled with getting food prepped and frozen so after he comes it will be easy to prepare dinner, and catching up on laundry. The hospital bag is packed, the car seat is installed, he is dropping and I am READY! C'mon Jonah.

Below is my 37 week picture taken on Friday. The second one was taken the very next day. Look how much he dropped in ONE day! Crazy. :)

Thanks Michelle. I can't wait. I am so very anxious but trying to not let it get the best of me. God definitely planned a 9.5 month pregnancy for a reason....to teach me some patience! Because I will for sure need it after he comes. haha!
