Week 36 & Jonah's Baby Shower

Um, wow! Where do I begin. The last week has been crazy! I guess it's natures way of preparing me for what is about to come with having kiddo's.

Jonah's baby shower was this past weekend on Saturday. What an amazing day! I had so much fun catching up with friends, spending time with family and snacking all day! :) Jonah got some serious loot. This boy is so blessed and spoiled. It was a Rock & Roll themed party complete with VIP Backstage all access passes for all of Jonah's groupie's. Haha. We did a few games, ate snacks, chatted and he got a lot of cool gifts. His room is so close to complete. We are waiting for his crib mattress, changing table pad, stroller/car seat combo and then we will be ready to bring him home from the hospital. Which mind you, can't come quick enough.

We had our 36 week sono yesterday and I was fully prepared for the doctor to tell me he was 8.5 lbs and ready to come out. That is the selfish part in me wanting to see him now. However, he was only 5 lbs and 13 oz. Almost 6 lbs. The over/under is about 1 lb. So he could be closer to 7 lbs. (Which I am going to tell myself 'cause it makes me feel better about my giant belly! hehe) Doctor thinks I will be pretty close to my due date. So I just need to chill out and relax. When you get this close you really do start reaching the end of your rope and you are just READY! So, I must be patient for now and wait for him to come when HE'S ready. *sigh*

My agenda for the next couple weeks is to relax, get all his laundry done and have the house ready to go. I know when he gets here the first couple weeks I will just be sleeping when he's sleeping...so not much will actually get done. So I better get it done NOW!

As far as how I am feeling, my hips are killing me and so are my knees. Your joints really start to loosen to make room for the baby to come out and everything starts aching which keeps you up at night. Joy! Back pain is back...but not as bad and I have been so tired I sleep all day sometimes. The body is wearing out and I hope I can make it to the finish. I am sure I will be fine, and I know I am being dramatic.

Okay, well that's all the updates for now. Here's some photos from the shower as well as my 36 week picture. Enjoy!
