I can't believe that Jonah is already two months old! He's growing up so fast. I really understand what all those mom's are talking about when they say ... "They grow up so fast!" It's so true. This time has flown by. It's been filled with ups, downs, laughs and smiles. He's developing so fast and the pediatrician says he's "sailing by". :) Oh and she also mentioned he had a "perfectly shaped head" at his two month appointment. That made me feel SO good, considering they had to use the vacuum extraction to get him out. He needed a little convincing that it wasn't so bad on the outside. By doing that though, it gave him a hematoma on his head and he was definitely a cone head when he came out. Every time I saw it, it would make my heart break. So hearing that his head is perfectly shaped, made my day! He also got his 2 month vaccinations. All I can say is "YIKES!" I have never heard Jonah scream that loud or turn that shade of purple. :*( He was very fussy all day to say the least. He started to cheer up in the evening and his smiles returned. That made me so happy. He's really a happy little guy with a tender heart.
We are having to take Jonah to a pediatric allergist and a pediatric dermatologist. *sigh* With our family history of allergies I knew it would happen, but was hoping not so soon. He has developed a little congestion and eczema. Most likely it's an environmental allergen he's being exposed to. It
could be a food allergy. So the last four days I have eliminated dairy from my diet.
BRUTAL! Because I LOVE milk. I could drink a gallon a day. So I am praying that's not it. If it happens to be, I would like to be ahead of the game in getting it out of my milk. It takes two weeks to get out. It's a sacrifice I can make. I will do anything for him. So if you could send up some prayers that he doesn't have any food allergies, I would really appreciate it. :)
Jonah actually turned 2 months old on Mother's day. What a great addition to my first Mother's day, my babies 2nd month anniversary. :) Andrew really did a lot for me. He got me a beautiful charm bracelet with a little boy charm that had Jonah's birthstone on it along with his name engraved on the back. Andrew's mom chipped in and got me a "MOM" charm. I LOVE it! I have wanted a charm bracelet and now I have one. My grandmother gave me an Eiffel Tower charm several months back and I added it to it. Andrew took me out for breakfast and dinner. It was a wonderful day. I enjoyed spending it with my two favorite guys.
I finally took some time to order his birth announcement and put that together. I am starting to get a little better about getting some time to do other things. Usually it's when Jonah is napping. I was able to mail the announcements out and they should have reached everyone by now so I can post a picture of it.

This Friday we are hopefully headed up to Nashville to visit with Grandtoff and Papa. We both are in need of a vacation. Well, I am just looking forward to spending time with his family and taking the baby everywhere. Andrew really needs a vacay! So I am happy to tag along. I am also interested to see how well Jonah travels. He loves car rides, so it should be smooth sailing.
I recently joined a mother's group in Murphy and we have lots of upcoming events so hopefully I will have more to share with all of you soon.
