Jonah's Vocabulary

For not being 11 months old just yet, Jonah has a pretty wide vocabulary. Here are some of things he says and what they mean. Well...what we think they mean. ;)

Da-Da or Da-DEE = Daddy (Duh!) Sometimes he also calls me Daddy :-/

Ma-Ma = Mama (One day he walked out and pointed to me and yelled "Ma-Ma!" So sweet)

Dah - Dog (He is usually patting Kari when he says this one)

Toonda = Unknown what this means at this time

Bita Boy = Little Boy (Andrew has called Jonah Little Boy since he was born and he picked it up a few days ago)

Whaaaa = What? (This one was hilarious, he opened a card I got Andrew for his birthday and when it opened it farted and he said "Whaaaa?" Andrew, Abby and I just cracked up laughing.)

Bay-BEE = Baby (He will carry around his Global Babies book his Aunt Abby got for him and say "Bay-BEE! Bay-BEE!") -- Super cute!

Wah-Wah = Water (He's only said this once)

The rest is really incoherent babble. I am sure it means something, I just can't figure it out just yet.

Also, if you tell him to go get a book to read to him, he will walk over to his pile of books and pick one up. He LOVES to be read to. I guess we are seeing the results of all those book we read to him. We read to him everyday. On average it's 3-5 books a day. I also think all the Sesame Street he watches is paying off, too. Haha!

Today's blog post was brought to you by the Letter "J" and the number "11". ;)

He will be a little mimic. So watch what you say around him, carefully. It will be funny at the time he mimics something you say, but then when he uses it in public, not so funny. Even little slips of the tongue, he will hear, they are "ALL" ears at this stage of the game!!! haha
Love to all.
